After years of trolling across the internet, I finally decided to make one of these blog things. They seem pretty okay, all in all. At first I wasn't too sure, they seemed a little pointless (who spends their time finding pages to read written by people they most likely don't know?), but after a brief (I'm talking, 5 minutes brief) pause to think, I (with a little help) figured that, at the very least, it was a good way to exchange information, keep up with friends, and otherwise fight boredom. So here we go - my first blog post....well, not counting all those ones I had to do for German class.

And now that I've started, I've hit a massive writer's block. To tell you the truth, there just isn't a whole lot of interesting material I have to work with. Okay, okay, I could talk about myself, but that'll get boring quickly (I promise). I could talk about movies and T.V. shows and that sort of thing, but I don't avidly keep up with that sort of stuff anymore (although the new Transformers movie looks pretty cool, no?). As for reading, I....well...hmm...yeah, I guess I do enough of that. Recently I've been taking a dip into the pool of science writing - not Sci-Fi, mind you, but nonfiction, real-life science stuff - and it's been pretty interesting thus far, although I wouldn't go poking around for old lab reports/journal articles. No, this is the stuff written by scientists in a way that makes it interesting to the public (and me). Things like "A Short History of Nearly Everything" (Bill Bryson), "The Black Hole War" (Leonard Susskind) and so forth. To be honest, I like that sort of stuff.

As for the first post, that's about all that inspiration has given me. Coming soon, I have no idea what...prepare for anything from discussions on Classic Rock and Jazz to videos I've found on YouTube to popular video games. Until that time comes (which could be five minutes from now, to never), keep well. And hopefully stay less bored than I am now.
